In the first battle, both me and Aeneas adopt the "quincunx" formation. The early game is mostly inconclusive, with some losses for Phillip's cavalry units which get often targeted and a skirmish between my Parasim Numidim and Karamawi's Gldgmtk, so the infantry lines march forward. Since I moved some units to support Aeneas on his flank against Phillip's scary cavalry, soon I am overwhelmed by Karamawi and my contribution to the battle is then limited to the charges of my Extraordinarii. However, the Punic units are too many and we concede.
In the second battle the SPQR armies are quite different, while the Carthaginians brought almost the same composition. This time Phillip loses a significant amount of cavalry in the skirmish, but he gets the upper hand against Aeneas in the subsequent melee engagement; in the mean time, Karamawi loses most of his infantry while keeping some men in the cavalry. In the late game, I'm left only with my Pedites Extraordinarii, whose performance shines as always, but at some point I decide to concede. Aeneas' general wants to flee, Phillip wants to kill him: what follows is a Scooby-Doo chase sequence. Of course I'm not spoilering the fate of the Roman commander.
